The Edison Celebration of Art, Inc. is pleased to announce grant opportunities available to teachers of music & art programs in Lee County Public Schools.

The Edison Celebration of Art, Inc. recognizes the importance of music & art programs in our public schools and the impact it has on students who participate in them. In order to enhance these programs, The Edison Celebration of Art, Inc. will provide funding to individual art teachers at Lee County Public Schools.  The art & music grant should be used to enhance art appreciation by providing students with additional materials, supplies, instruments and experiences which will further their education. Funding for the art & music grant will be limited to a maximum of $1,000 per teacher/program.

The Edison Celebration of Art’s main purpose is to enhance art and culture appreciation by providing an annual public art festival that invites people of all economic and social backgrounds to come enjoy, experience and learn about art. We also strive to help local artists in our community by giving them the opportunity to share their art form. Our goal is to help provide educational opportunities in art and culture for our youth by donating our proceeds to music and art programs in Lee County Public Schools.

The Music & Art Grant applications must be received by Monday, December 1, 2008. 
All grant recipients will be announced at this year’s event on Saturday, January 31, 2009.
