5. The Orange Couch
Everyone should be familiar with the iconic orange couch, which has been featured in the opening credits of Friends since the beginning of the show.
But this wasn’t the only time a big orange couch was prominently featured on TV. Would you believe a big orange couch was used in Nickelodeon’s Snick bumpers too?
Yup! It sure is similar to what you see in the Friends opening credits – Both of them are orange, and both of them are couches! Nickelodeon even referred to it as “the big orange couch”! But Snick’s couch premiered in August, 1992 while Friends didn’t air until September 1994! Woops, sorry Friends fans! Looks like Nickelodeon beat them to it!
